Vietnam has recently announced its decision to adjust the preliminary anti-dumping duty rates on hot-rolled coils and metallic-coated steel for individual Chinese and South Korean companies.
For the AD duties against metallic galvanized steel from South Korea, Shanghai Shijing International Trading Co and ST. International are listed as related trading companies of KG Dongbu Steel Co.
The two trading companies therefore now face zero duties, Kallanish learns. Previously, the two were not listed separately and therefore faced a 15.67% tariff rate targeted at other exporters in South Korea.
Vietnam imposed the above duties of up to 37.13% on Chinese imports and 15.67% on South Korean imports in April (see Kallanish 2 April 2025). Targeted products fall under tariff lines headed by HS codes 7210, 7212, 7225 and 7226.
In terms of the AD duties against Chinese HRC with a width not exceeding 1,880mm, Win Faith Trading Limited is now listed as a related trader of Baowu Group and facing a 27.83% duty rate. However, it is worth noting that all other traders not singled out also face a 27.83% duty rate.
The duty against certain Chinese HRC grades was announced in late February, targeting products classified by HS codes 7208, 7211, 7225 and 7226 (see Kallanish 24 February 2025). The provisional AD duty rate for China remains in a range from 19.38% 27.83%.
Both AD duties are valid for only 120 days, unless otherwise extended.
