2. AIA Connect
One Bangkok, the largest mixed-use development in Bangkok, is a $3.9 billion project by Frasers Property, a subsidiary of TCC Group. Spanning 16.7 hectares near Lumphini Park, it includes five office towers, three hotels, retail spaces, art venues, and 8 hectares of green areas. Originally set to open in 2023, the development will now open in stages starting mid-2024. With a strong focus on sustainability, it incorporates centralised energy systems and recycled building materials, and is the first project in Thailand to target LEED Platinum certification. Its office towers have also earned top WiredScore and SmartScore certifications. Delegates will have the opportunity to explore this landmark investment, with key-area walkthroughs showcasing its innovations in design and construction.
AIA Connect is a premium 33-story office building in Bangkok’s business district, situated opposite the AIA Capital Center. It offers over 110,000 square meters of office and retail space, along with more than 700 parking spaces. Designed with a focus on human well-being and environmental sustainability, it adheres to LEED and WELL standards. Thai-Obayashi serves as the main contractor. Delegates will have the opportunity to visit the construction site to gain insights into the planning and execution of its structural steel construction.
