Formosa Ha Tinh Steel hikes HRC price by $95/ton for May

Vietnam’s Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation (FHS) hiked its price of hot-rolled coil (HRC) by US$95/ton on the basis of the April price, raising the new price to US$945-950/ton. The price adjustment this time was higher than expected.

Besides, the price of low-carbon wire rods was up by US$52/ton. The new price has come to US$868/ton.

FHS said the international raw material market fluctuated greatly during the period of the current Russia-Ukraine war. Both supply and demand were negatively affected, and the production costs were also increased. Therefore, the company decided to hike its prices after taking into account the current situation of the steel market.
