Japanese automaker Toyota will cut its March production in North America as it continues to deal with persistent supply disruptions.
Toyota will cut the production of 35,000 vehicles in March in North America. The company is still evaluating how it will adjust regional production for April.
The production cuts bring Toyota's lost production in 2022 to 100,000-115,000 vehicles, with output of 365,000-450,000 vehicles lost since August.
The automaker is taking the time period from April to June as an "intentional pause" to assess and revise production plans to be in line with realities, the company said. Toyota is working to evaluate impacts from recent events in Europe and continued stresses on the global supply chains.
