According to the report, Dongkuk Steel, one of the leading steelmakers in South Korea, would invest around KRW 14 billion to establish a new steel processing center in Mexico, mainly provide steel products to South Korean home appliance manufacturers, such as Samsung Electronics Co. and LG Electronics Inc.
The peak season of coated steel sheets in Mexico was normally between September and October, and the new steel processing center of Dongkuk Steel in Mexico was planned to complete before the peak season this year.
Mexico was not the first oversea place for Dongkuk Steel to expand their production line, currently its mills have located in several countries such as India, Thailand, and Mexico.
