According to the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan exported roughly 31.6 million tons of steel products from January to November, increasing by 6.8% from the same period a year ago.
Among them, Japan exported around 4.5 million tons to South Korea, up by 1.3% year on year, 4.7 million tons to China, 5.5 million tons to Thailand, 2.2 million tons to Taiwan, and 1 million tons to the US.
In November alone, Japan totally exported about 2.9 million tons of steel products, going up by 3.6% from the previous month and by 18.3% year on year.
