According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on November 20, the production of US’ crude steel totaled 1.861 million short tons, rising by 0.3% from the same period a week ago and also hiking by 14.8% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 84.3%, up by 0.2% week on week and going up by 11% year on year.
As of the week ending November 20, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ crude steel has amounted to 84.437 million short tons, a year-on-year increase of 19.9%. The capacity utilization rate was 81.6%, a year-on-year growth of 13.9%.
