US’ rebar exports drop in Sep m-o-m, y-o-y

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 14,200 tons of rebar in September this year, falling by 36.2% compared to the previous month and also dropping by 31.2% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 12,800 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 36.7% and a year-on-year drop of 22.4%. The exports to other destinations were less than 1,000 tons.

During the reporting period, the export value totaled around US$15 million, down by 34.9% month on month and up by 15.3% year on year.
