On the morning of October 2, several officials from Hebei Province, China, came to the No. 2 blast furnace of China's HBIS Xuan Steel which belongs to HBIS Group to inspect the withdrawal of steel production capacity and the shutdown of the blast furnace on the spot.
All steel production capacity of HBIS Xuan Steel, totaling 8 million tons per year, was shut down. As a key step in the green transformation of the enterprise, Zhangjiakou has achieved the goal of a steel-free production city.
