Vietnamese domestic market was impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic, so the authority encouraged export sales of the steel industry.
Moreover, Vietnamese mills just bought great opportunities with a strong trend of global steel price, which was conducive for coated steel sales in the US market.
According to statistics, Vietnam's steel exports in August reached 1.54 million tons, an increase of 33.8% from the previous month, and the export price also increased by 1% month on month.
Besides, the total export volume from January to August came to 8.54 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 43.4%.
The main destination countries where Vietnamese mills exported in August were China and the US, and the destination countries from January to August were China and Cambodia.
