According to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), Vietnam produced approximately 18.3 million tons of steel products from January to July, going up by 3.5% from the same period a year ago. The sales were around 16.2 million tons and the export volume was roughly 4 million tons, soaring by 30.7% and 78.9% year on year, respectively.
In July, Vietnam produced roughly 2.4 million tons of steel products, decreasing by 6.48% from the previous month while increasing by 13.8% year on year. The sales were about 2.1 million tons and the export volume was roughly 660,000 tons, up by 7.4% and rising by 55% year on year, respectively.
