Vietnam's leading steel mill Hoa Phat Group posted its crude steel output reaching 700,000 tons in July, which increased by 70% from the same period of last year.
In the first seven months of this year, the group produced approximately 4.8 million tons of crude steel, up by 58% year on year.
Although many cities have implemented social distancing to control the pandemic, Hoa Phat Group still maintains steady output to support continued construction of the major public projects such as roads, bridges, hospitals, and airports.
Hoa Phat Group expects to lift its annual crude steel output by 38% to more than 8 million tons.
