Australia’s Anti-Dumping Commission issued Anti-Dumping Notice No. 2026/127 on 9 September 2026, initiating a continuation inquiry into anti-dumping measures on zinc-coated (galvanized) steel imported from India, Malaysia and Vietnam.
The development is particularly relevant to the Asia-Pacific coated steel market, where trade-remedy measures continue to play an important role in sourcing decisions.
For Australian buyers, the competitiveness of galvanized steel is increasingly determined not only by mill price and freight, but also by country of origin, exporter-specific duty rates and the applicable trade measures.
For suppliers across Asia, this is another case worth following closely as Australia reviews whether the existing measures should remain in place.
