Zaporizhstal has successfully passed a recertification audit of its rolled steel production technology

The auditors highly commended the stability of the production processes and the level of product quality control

The Zaporizhstal Steel Works, part of the Metinvest Group, has successfully passed a recertification audit to verify that its hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel products comply with the requirements of EN 10025 and EN 10130 standards. This was reported in a statement from the company.

Auditors from Technical and Management Services LLC, a corporate partner of the German group TÜV SÜD UKRAINE, inspected the plant’s production technology for hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel. They highly praised the stability of production processes, the consistency of technological operations, and the appropriate level of product quality control that the mill maintains under wartime conditions.

The steel mill received a certificate of conformity for hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel products in accordance with the requirements of standard EN 10025-1:2004 (Annex ZA), Construction Regulation 305/2011/EU, and standard EN 10130, valid for three years.

As a reminder, Zaporizhstal increased rolled steel production by 3.7% year-on-year – to 660,100 tons in January–March. Steel production for the period increased by 1.3% compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 758,200 tons, while pig iron production fell by 3.6% year-on-year – to 819,300 tons.

In 2025, the company increased rolled steel production by 15.1% compared to 2024, reaching 2.795 million tons. Pig iron production for the period amounted to 3.568 million tons, which is 15% more year-on-year. Steel output grew by 11.1% year-on-year, to 3.212 million tons.
