Prices for steel products depend largely on the level of demand, which has remained low since the beginning of the year. The volume of construction work completed in Ukraine in 2025 increased by 12% year-over-year.

According to Metinvest-SMC estimates, the capacity of the rebar segment in Ukraine’s domestic market grew by 14% in 2025, reaching 754,000 tons. Consumption of beams, angles, and channels increased by 14% to 180,000 tons. The hot-rolled steel segment recorded a 12% increase to 997,000 tons.

Total consumption of metal products in the Ukrainian market (excluding polymer-coated rolled products, seamless pipes, stainless steel rolled products, and tinplate) in 2025 grew by 12% year-on-year and amounted to 3.4 million tons.
