Mexico reviews AD duties on prestressed steel from 3 countries

Mexico's Ministry of Economy (SE) has initiated an administrative review to potentially extend anti-dumping (AD) duties on prestressed steel imports from China, Spain, and Portugal, saying that removing these tariffs could negatively impact domestic production. The examination period is from January 1 to December 31, 2025, and the analysis period spans from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2025.

The products involved are prestressed concrete strand and cables formed by one to seven carbon steel wires, falling under HS codes 7217.10.99, 7312.10.01, 7312.10.05, 7312.10.07, 7312.10.08, 7312.10.10, and 7312.10.99.

Existing duties, established in February 2016, remain in effect during the process. The current AD duty rate is US$1.02 per kilogram for Chinese imports, US$0.13 for Spanish goods, and US$0.40 for Portuguese products.
