The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has launched an extension review of anti-dumping duties on certain Chinese-origin seamless steel pipe, Kallanish learns from the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) internal market protection department.
The decision concerns duties on oil and gas well drilling, and production pipe OCTG.
The probe initiators are Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant, Volzhsky Pipe Plant, Seversky Pipe Plant, Taganrog Metallurgical Plant, and Sinarsky Pipe Plant, with the support of Vyksa Metallurgical Plant, QazExpoCentre-Pipe, and KSP Steel.
The investigation was initiated due to the expiration of the anti-dumping measure. The subject of the investigation is pipe from Group 7304 of the EAEU Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activity.
Currently, these products are subject to an anti-dumping duty of 12.23-31% of the customs value, depending on the manufacturer, with the measure expiring on 26 April 2026.
In 2021, EEC extended for five years anti-dumping duties on various seamless pipe from China.
In June 2025, EAEU extended anti-dumping measures on imports of Chinese hot-deformed seamless stainless pipe until 9 June 2030.
