Vietnam’s Formosa Ha Tinh Steel (FHS) released on Thursday the domestic monthly prices for its latest allocation of hot rolled coil, Kallanish understands from trading sources in Vietnam.
For orders of 20,000 tonnes and more of non-skin passed SAE 1006 HRC for delivery in January/February 2026, the mill’s pegged price is set at VND 13,414/kg ($511/tonne) cif Ho Chi Minh City. The mill’s price for December delivery was originally set on 15 October at VND 13,734/kg and was subsequently cut by VND 300/kg on 22 October.
“I think big customers will find FHS’s prices acceptable,” a Vietnamese trader says. Rival mill Hoa Phat’s HRC price for 20,000t and more was set at VND 13,360/kg earlier this week.
Formosa sets higher prices on a graduated scale for reduced volume purchases. For orders of less than 2,000t, FHS’s HRC price is set at VND 13,684/kg ($521/t) cif Ho Chi Minh City.
