Brazil has initiated an official anti-dumping investigation on imports of Egyptian, Spanish and Malaysian-origin high-carbon steel wire. This is according to a document from the local foreign trade secretariat of the Brazilian Ministry of Industry (Secex/MDIC) monitored by Kallanish.
The investigation was launched following a request from local producer Belgo Bekaert Arames in March and covers products classified under HS codes 7217.10.19 and 7217.10.90.
The period of investigation is October 2023 through September 2024. The ministry determined the analysis period is from October 2019 to September 2024.
