US amends AD duty on Malaysian PC strand

The US Department of Commerce has initiated an administrative review of the antidumping duty order on prestressed concrete steel wire strand (PC strand) from Malaysia, Kallanish learns from an International Trade Administration notice.

Commerce preliminarily finds that Kiswire Sdn Bhd (Kiswire) and Wei Dat Steel Wire Sdn Bhd (Wei Dat) did not make sales of PC strand at below normal prices during the period of review (POR) from June 2023 through May 2024. As a result, the estimated weighted-average dumping margin for both entities is set at 0.0%.

Additionally, Commerce has decided to rescind part of this review with respect to Southern PC Steel Sdn Bhd because there were no reviewable entries of PC strand during the POR.

Previously, the department had established an all-others anti-dumping duty rate of 5.13% during its previous investigation into imports of PC strand from Malaysia.

Commerce intends on issuing final results of this administrative review within 120 days.
