Vietnam's leading steel producer, Hoa Phat Group, has commissioned the No. 2 basic oxygen furnace and RH vacuum refining furnace at its Dung Quat 2 steel complex, marking a crucial step toward the project's September 2025 completion.
The German-engineered SMS Group equipment, capable of producing 9,000 tons of ultra-pure steel daily, enables the manufacturing of premium-grade steel products. The expansion strengthens Hoa Phat's position as a supplier of high-end hot-rolled coils for automotive, appliance, and industrial sectors.
