According to statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, Vietnam's steel imports reached 1.12 million tons in June, increasing by 18.1% compared to the previous month.
Among them, the top five import sources were China (around 515,000 tons, up by 71.7% year on year, India (around 179,000 tons, down by 52.7% year on year), Japan (roughly 159,000 tons, down by 14.1% year on year), South Korea (roughly 122,000 tons, up by 0.3% year on year), and Taiwan (about 110,000 tons, down by 26.8% year on year).
In the first six months of this year, Vietnam's steel imports were up by 5.9% year on year to nearly 7.1 million tons.
