The US Department of Commerce finds that revoking the antidumping duty on certain steel threaded rod from China would likely result in more dumping, Kallanish discovers in a federal document.
"Commerce determines that revocation of the order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping and that the magnitude of the dumping margins likely to prevail would be weighted-average dumping margins up to 206%," the ITC writes in a notice circulated Friday.
Threaded rod imports to the US are subject to the results of this investigation are classified in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) under the subheadings 7318.15.5051, 7318.15.5056, 7318.15.5090, 7228.60.8000, 7318.15.2095, 7318.19.0000 and 7318.29.0000, several of which also cover alloy steel threaded rod.
