Thailand’s Department of Foreign Trade (DFT) has started another sunset review on anti-dumping duties on cold rolled coil imports from China, Taiwan and Vietnam, Kallanish understands.
The duties have been in place for more than 10 years. CRC imports from China were set anti-dumping duties of 9.24-20.11% after a dumping petition was lodged with the government in August 2012. In the same anti-dumping case, Taiwanese CRC was levied 8.8-17.47% and Vietnamese CRC, 14.35% in February 2014.
A total 315 product lines under HS codes beginning with 7209, 7211 and 7225 are targeted. The latest sunset review was initiated on 25 January 2025 and anti-dumping duties will be collected effective that day for up to 1 year period for the completion of the review. "If the anti-dumping duty collection is terminated, dumping and damage will continue or recur," according to a notice by the DFT.
