According to the Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand (ISIT), Thailand's finished steel consumption was approximately 1.34 million tons in April, increasing by 0.1% yearly. It was the first increase after falling 25.1% in March, 7.2% in February, and 3.3% in January this year.
Flat steel consumption was around 840,000 tons, rising by 3.9% yearly. Long steel consumption fell 5.7% yearly to about 499,000 tons as delayed government payments affected construction activities.
