European demand drove up prices of steel slabs in Southeast Asia. According to a Malaysian steel mill, the price of slabs has increased rapidly recently. The steel mill is focusing on the European market and has not quoted to other Southeast Asian buyers.
Another Southeast Asian steel mill said that it had received sufficient European orders already. Although the Indonesian market also has some demands, the mills have no quotations for Indonesian buyers.
