The major long product manufacturer in Turkey, İÇDAŞ, continued making moves on the construction of its new melting mill and a new hot-rolled coil factory.
Currently, İÇDAŞ already owns 5.5 million tons per year of melting capacity and 3 million tons of rolling capacity, which are used to fabricate billet, rebar, and wire.
Meanwhile, İÇDAŞ would like to extend the loading and handling capacity of the port of Biga, build new hydrogen and shielding gas facilities in the same region, and plan to finish all these construction works in two and a half years with a total investment of 18.2 billion liras.
