According to data from Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), in September, Vietnam’s finished steel production totaled 2.44 million tons, increasing by 23.41% month on month and by 1.7% year on year. Meanwhile, the sales of steel products amounted to 1.99 million tons, a month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 7.19% and 9.9%, respectively.
In August, Vietnam’s finished steel imports amounted to 785,000 tons, falling by 13.65% from the previous month and dropping by 8.94% year on year. In the first eight months, the finished steel imports were about 8.18 million tons, declining by 7.97% year on year.
