Bulgarian electric bus manufacturer Sin Cars has signed an agreement for direct supply with Greek company RAM Europe, Kallanish notes.
The enterprise is the largest manufacturer of light and heavy-duty waste processing and waste cleaning machines in the Balkans and one of the largest participants in the waste processing sector in Europe. This is the first direct contract of Sin Cars with a European company producer.
The Greek company will take over the representation of L CITY electric vehicles (EVs) on the territory of Greece and Cyprus, and the main focus will be municipalities and companies engaged in the field of garbage collection, especially in the island parts of Greece, Sin Cars says.
According to the signed agreement and an order contract, one L CITY Pickup model will be delivered to Greece by November.
Earlier, Sin Cars opened a newly built production line for L CITY electric bus at its Research and Development Center in the city of Ruse. The new production will enable the company to produce one L City vehicle per day in 2023.
The EV maker will start designing a new production base, which will expand its production capacity to 20,000 vehicles per year by 2026.
Sin Cars has plans to expand its operations to neighbouring Romania by constructing a plant for the production of its L CITY vehicles. The Romanian facility will be built in the Romanian city of Giurgiu, opposite the Bulgarian city of Ruse across the Danube river.
In August, it received a certificate for EU type-approval for EV production in small batches in category N1. In June, the company signed an agreement with the Dutch company Johan Kraan Group BV for delivery of the L CITY e-trucks to the Netherlands.
For 2023, the two companies set a target of a minimum of 100 sold L CITY electric vehicles for the Dutch market, together with spare parts and components worth a total of €5 million ($5m).
Earlier, Sin Cars signed a preliminary agreement for delivery and distribution of the L CITY electric trucks for Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. In May, the company sent an electric vehicle to Munich, which is the home of the company's partner in Germany.
