According to the European Commission data, four countries have exhausted their new steel import quota that started on July 1 and will end on September 30.
As of July 1, the quota of hollow sections, organic coated sheets, rebar, and stainless steel cold-rolled sheets and strip with around 94,689 tons, 15,126 tons, 90,856 tons, and 20,046 tons have been exhausted.
Apart from that, China’s magnetic sheet and metal coated sheet quota with 29,777 tons and 123,409 tons has been run out. The quota of India’s organic coated sheets, stainless steel light bars and sections, and stainless steel wire rods with 75,642 tons, 30,542 tons, and 7,103 tons, respectively, were exhausted as well.
As of July 8, the quota of Taiwan’s cold-rolled sheet and stainless steel strip totaling 44,302 tons has been run out, too.
