Acciaieria Arvedi, an Italian flat steel producer, has become the first steel mill to be certificated with zero net carbon dioxide emissions.
The certificate of net-zero CO2 emissions was approved by the third party, Rina. It evaluated all direct and indirect producing processes.
Arvedi started to invest in the development of plants, technology, and research to fulfill the decarbonization plan in 2018. Actually, Arvedi has achieved its zero-emission goal 28 years ahead of the goal of 2050 set by the EU.
