According to data from the Argentinian steel association, Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA), Argentina produced around 417,000 tons of crude steel in March this year, rising by 30.7% compared to the previous month.
During the period, the output of hot-rolled coils had a month-on-month increase of nearly 20% to roughly 408,000 tons, and that of cold-rolled coils hiked by 15.8% month on month to approximately 111,000 tons.
The increase in production was due to higher demand from automobile manufacturing, agricultural machinery manufacturing, infrastructure, and energy industries.
