According to Vietnam’s largest steel mill Hoa Phat Steel, the company’s hot rolled coil (HRC) sales totaled 296,000 tons in March 2022, up by 24% from the previous month. This is the new high level in a single month.
In the first quarter of 2022, the whole sales volume of HRC increased by 15% to 763,000 tons year on year.
The company said it increased HRC sales to the domestic market due to some uncertainty in the export market.
