According to statistics from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan exported around 2.6 million tons of steel products in February this year, rising by 7.5% compared to the previous month while dropping by 5% from the same month a year ago.
In the first two months of this year, Japan’s steel products exports amounted to nearly 5 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4%.
Amon them, the top three export destinations were South Korea (around 860,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 34.4%), Thailand (around 745,100 tons, a year-on-year drop of 21.3%), and China (around 698,100 tons, a year-on-year drop of 8.4%).
