Increasing Productivity and Rolling Quality Through Optimized Mill Window Geometry

A spheroidization kinetic study was carried out in a low-alloy, mediumcarbon steel. Two different initial pearlite microstructures were generated at different transformation temperatures. The effect of a deformation application once the steel is completely transformed was analyzed and ompared with that observed in non-deformed samples.
