It was a dream come true for the international INTECO Group, located in Bruck a.d. Mur, Austria, at the beginning of March 2016. Nobody less than steel giant thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG awarded the plant engineering company with an eight figure order: INTECO’s experts will design and deliver a twin Ladle Furnace for the treatment of 260t liquid steel for the German enterprise’s plant in Duisburg Beeckerwerth. This new furnace will be equipped with all kinds of technological innovations and will be completely encased with noise insulation penals to improve the working standards.

In line with the signature of the contract, INTECO started with the mechanical engineering so that construction and assembly can be assured for fall 2017. And finally in the second half of 2018 one of the biggest projects in the history of INTECO will go into production.

?It was the high quality work of the past years that made this possible,“ says Dr. Harald Holzgruber, CEO and owner of the Austrian family business, proudly about the largest single order in the 40 year company history.  For sure the succesfully finalized projects for well-known companies such as voestalpine, Deutsche Edelstahlwerke or Saarstahl AG were a main reason why INTECO was invited to Duisburg in the first place. On site INTECO scored with professionalism, commitment and experience. Who would have believed that the first invitation from the German steel manufacturer to take part in a bidding would be crowned with success!
