Iran’s major miners saw iron ore concentrate output rise year-on-year in the four months through 21 July, Kallanish learns from the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro). The y-o-y growth in output of 3% to 15.9 million tonnes compares to 4% growth after three months.
Gol Gohar produced 5.50mt of concentrate in the four-month period, Chadormalu produced 3.39mt and Middle East Mines and Mineral Industry Development (Midhco) accounted for 1.72mt. Next came Central Iron Ore with 1.71mt, Sangan Opal Parsian with 982,317t and National Mining and Industrial Development Company with 682,487t. Less significant contributions came from Saba Nour Mining and Industrial Development Company with 277,091t and Jalalabad Iron ore company with 171,711t.
Merchant run-of-mine ore output at five major Iranian miners, meanwhile, grew by 7% in the four months to 1.66mt.
Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company produced 641,265t, Iranian Central Plateau Iron Ore Mines Complex 366,965t, Central Iron Ore 249,150t, Sangan Iron Ore Complex 237,377t and Chadormalu 168,200t.
