Vietnamese scrap imports rise in Mar y-o-y, m-o-m

According to the trade statistics from Vietnam Ministry of Finance, Vietnamese scrap imports totaled around 423,000 tons this March, increased by 11.6% compared with the same period of last year and increased by 41.4% compared with the same period of last month, terminating the down for 18 consecutive months.

The import value of Vietnamese scrap was around US$157 million in March, which kept increasing.

In the first three months this year, Vietnamese scrap imports totaled around 1.3 million tons, increased by 31.1% compared with the same period of last year, with the average monthly imports of 436,000 tons and the expected annual imports of around 5.2 million tons.
