Semis

  • Tangshan billet price: 2,330 yuan ($349) per tonne, down 20 yuan ($3) per tonne from Friday afternoon. Prices had dropped 50 yuan ($7) per tonne to 2,300 yuan ($344) per tonne before recovering 30 yuan ($4) per tonne over the weekend. – source: Metal Bulletin

Scrap

  • To Hong Kong, offers of Chinese rebar were at $365-370/mt CFR actual weight, equivalent to $356-361/mt FOB on the same basis, assuming a freight rate of $9/mt - source: Platts

 

  • To Singapore, some Chinese traders quoted rebar at about $360/mt CFR theoretical weight, equivalent to $358/mt FOB actual weight with $13/mt freight and 3% volume tolerance, said a Singapore-based trader. - source: Platts
