Scrap

-          Italian scrap price increased by Euro20 to Euro 270-300 per tonne for grade E3 (heavy melting), to Euro 320-330 per tonne for E8 and to Euro 310-320 per tonne for E40 (Shredded) – source: SBB

-          Turkish import scrap price up by $9 to 408 USD per tonne CFR Turkish port – source: SBB

-          US Shredded scrap price increased by $45 per long ton to 405 USD per long ton – source: SBB

-          China's scrap price rose. Jiangsu's heavy melting scrap (>6mm) up to 479 USD per tonne with 17% VAT; Xingcheng Special Steel and Suzhou Iron & Steel (Sugang) raised their buying price by RMB50 per tonne ($8) to 478-481 USD per tonne for heavy melting scrap – source: SBB

Semi-finished steel prices

-          China's Tangshan up by RMB 50 per tonne – source: SBB

Bar prices

-          Vietnamese domestic rebar price at 679-707 USD per tonne, ex-mill, excluding 10% VAT – source: SBB

-          In Shanghai, grade III rebar unchanged at 4,610-4,810 Yuan per tonne – source: MB

-          Malaysia's domestic rebar price fell to 637-643 USD per tonne – source: MB

Hot rolled coil prices

-          China's Liuzhou Steel raised its HRC by 50 Yuan per tonne – source: MB

-          Krakatau Steel HRC down to 733-744 ex-works, excluding 10% tax- source: MB
