Scrap

-          East China steelmakers raised domestic scrap buying price by RMB 250 per tonne ($38) to RMB 3,500 per tonne ($529) with VAT – source: SBB

-          Rotterdam's shredded scrap export prices are nearly 500 USD per tonne – source: SBB

-          Offers of HMS 1:2 (80:20 mix) in containers into Southeast Asia at 470-490 USD per tonne CFR – source: MB

Semi-finished steel prices

-          China's Tangshan city Q235 billet price of 150 mm diameter rose by RMB 30 per tonne to RMB 4,240-4,260 per tonne – source: MB

-          Billet price from South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia and Russia are offered at 670 USD per tonne CFR, up by 40-50 USD per tonne – source: MB

Bar

-          CIS rebar export price rose to 680-700 USD per tonne FOB Black Sea – source: SBB

-          Shanghai's grade III rebar of 16-25 mm diameter traded at RMB 4,650-4,850 per tonne, up RMB 41 per tonne – source: MB

-          Malaysian rebar offer price rose by RM200 ($65) to RM 2,200 -2,250 per tonne – source: MB

 

Hot rolled coil prices

-          Turkish domestic HRC price up by 15-20 USD per tonne to 760-780 USD – source: SBB
