-          China's Xingcheng special steel raised its buying price for heavy melting scrap (over 6mm) to RMB 3,510 ($533) per tonne from RMB3,340 per tonne – source: SBB

Semi-finished steel prices

-          Tangshan's billet price continued to increase to 643 USD per tonne – source: SBB

-          Billet offers into South east Asia up by $10 per tonne. Billet originating from US, Taiwan and Russia are at 650-680 USD per tonne CFR. Malaysia steelmakers are quoting billet at 650 USD per tonne FOB – source: MB


-          Shanghai's rebar price for 18-22 mm HRB 335 rose by 2-3 USD per tonne to 700-703 USD per tonne, with 17% VAT – source: SBB

Hot rolled coil prices

-          Ukrainian coil price offers at 710-720 USD per tonne FOB Black Sea – source: SBB

-          Indian mills raised HRC prices by Rs 1,250-2,500 per tonne ($28-55) over early January levels. Domestic offer for 3mm and above commercial grade HRC around 746-768 USD per tonne ex-works – source: SBB
