Scrap

-          Ferrous scrap prices fell this week. Scrap index ended at 501.93 USD per tonne CFR Iskenderun for HMS 1&2 (80:20mix) – source: MB

-          Indian shredded scrap import price at 489.92 USD per tonne – source: MB

-          Taiwan's Feng Hsin cut scrap purchase prices by NTD 200 per tonne to $455 per tonne C&F for HMS 1&2 – source: Yieh

Semi-finished steel prices

-          Chinese billet prices traded at 4,370-4,390 Yuan per tonne for commercial grade material of 150 mm diameter, rising 120 Yuan per tonne – source: MB

-          Vietnam billet producers raised domestic price to VND 15-15.4 million per tonne ($714-733), excluding VAT – source: SBB

Bar

-          Rebar import prices from Turkey to Singapore at 715 – 720 USD per tonne CFR for a book of 15,000 – 20,000 tonnes – source: SBB

-          Chinese-origin boron-added rebar was sold at 690-695 USD per tonne CFR Singapore for 20,000 tonnes booking. Prime Korean rebar was booked at 730 USD per tonne CFR – source: SBB

-          Taiwan's Feng Hsin cut its rebar price by NTD 300 (no report of the price)– source: Yieh

Hot rolled coil prices

-          Turkish small HRC deals were done at 810-850 USD per tonne ex-works, up from 780-800 UDS per tonne last week – source: MB

-          Turkish HRC import at 730-750 USD per tonne CFR for 10,000 tonnes booking – source: MB

-          Indian local HRC price up by Rs1,500 ($33) to Rs 34,250 – 35,250 per tonne – source: MB
