  • Platts assessed 16-20mm diameter BS500 rebar unchanged on day at $253-255/metric ton FOB China actual weight, implying a midpoint of $254/mt FOB and the lowest level since Platts introduced the assessment nine years ago..- source: Platts

 

  • East China, domestic, grade-III 16-25mm rebar, traded at 1,950-1,990 yuan ($308-314) per tonne, including VAT. North China, domestic, grade-III 16-25mm rebar, traded at 1,860-1,900 yuan ($294-300) per tonne, including VAT.  – source: Steel First

 

Flat steel

  • Platts assessed SS400 HRC 3.0mm thick at $262-267/metric ton FOB China Friday, flat on day and lingering at the record low since Platts started tracking this market in January 2006.- source: Platts

 

  • East China, domestic, commercial-grade HRC (4.5-12mm), traded at 1,860-1,880 yuan ($292-295) per tonne, including VAT. North China, domestic, commercial-grade HRC (4.5-12mm), traded at 1,770-1,790 yuan ($278-281) per tonne, including VAT. – source: Steel First

Scrap

  • Platts daily US shredded scrap assessment was at $175-$185/lt delivered mill on Friday.  – source: Steel First
  • Steel First's import price assessment for HMS 1&2 (80:20) from the USA was $138-144 per tonne cfr Taiwan for the week ending Friday October 30, up $3-4 from the $135-140 per tonne range of the preceding week. – source: Steel First

 

Semis

  • Steel First assessed billet prices in Southeast Asia at $265-285 per tonne cfr for the week to Monday October 26, down from $265-290 per tonne cfr a week ago.  - source: Steel First

 

  • Platts daily CIS Black Sea billet assessment remained stable at $263/mt FOB Black Sea Friday amid a wider range of estimations. - source: Platts

 

  • Platts lowered its CIS slab assessment to $235-240/mt FOB Black Sea, down $5/mt from a week ago. - source: Platts

 

Bar/ Wire rod

 

  • The Platts daily imported rebar price assessment held at $312-$330/st ($344-$366/mt) CIF Houston on Friday. - source: Platts

 

HRC/P

  • Platts' monthly assessment for East Asia A36 grade 12-25mm thick plate or equivalent on October 30 was $280-305/mt CFR, compared with $280-310/mt CFR in end-September. The implied midpoint of $292.5/mt was down by $2.50 from the previous month. - source: Platts

 

  • Platts maintained its hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil price assessments at $390-$410/st and $520-$540/st, respectively. All prices are normalized to a Midwest (Indiana) ex-works basis. - source: Platts
