China?ˉs Steel prices

Long steel prices

-       Chinese steel producers raised their 6.5mm diameter wire rod export offers by $5-10/metric ton to $515-525/mt FOB ¨C source: SBB

Flat steel prices

-       Q235 5.5mm HRC prices were Yuan 3,570-3,600/mt with VAT in Shanghai, unchanged from the previous day - source: SBB

-       In China, transaction prices for commercial-grade, boron-containing plate were at $500-505 per tonne fob on Wednesday July 17 for September shipment, unchanged from Metal Bulletin sister title Steel First?ˉs assessment on June 28 ¨C source: MB

Steel Prices in other countries

Scrap

-          Heavy scrap was traded at 2,330-2,450 yuan ($377-397) per tonne with tax delivered to eastern Chinese steel mills on Thursday July 18, up 20-30 yuan per tonne from a week ago ¨C source: MB

-          Containerised sales of HMS 1&2 (80:20) delivered to Taiwan at anywhere between $340 and $345 per tonne, indicating a $10 increase from a month ago ¨C source: MB

-          the US?ˉs H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia were at US$340.83/long ton on July 15th, 2013, remaining flat from a week ago ¨C source: Yieh

-          Japan?ˉs Tokyo Steel announced to cut its H2 scrap purchasing prices by £¤500/ton at its Tahara works from July 18th to £¤30,000~£¤32,000/ton ¨C source: Yieh

Bar
