China's Steel Prices


-          China domestic price for 20mm thick ship plate was transacted at RMB 4,100-4,150 per tonne including 17% VAT, up from RMB 4,000/t as of 19 September – source: SBB

-          China's prices for 2.75mm HRC and 1.0mm CRC up by RMB 2 per tonne to RMB 3,920 per tonne and RMB 4,563 per tonne respectively – source: SteelHome

-          China's Prices for 8mm medium plate dropped by RMB 2 per tonne to RMB 3,978 per tonne - source: SteelHome


-          In Beijing, prices for 18-25mm diameter HRB400 rebar rose by RMB 230 per tonne in September and continued to increase by another RMB 50/t from late September – source: SBB

-          China's prices for 6.5mm high speed wire down by RMB 7 per tonne to RMB 3,814 per tonne – source: Steelhome

Steel Prices in other countries


-          US HMS 1&2 (80:20) material delivered into Turkey at $385-395 per tonne, and European imports to Turkey at $380-385 per tonne – source: MB

-          Taiwanese steel mills' purchase prices of the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) rose by US$10/ ton to US$345/ton C&F – source: Yieh

-          India's imported scrap price increased by USD 15-20 per ton to about USD 415 per tonne CFR for HMS and USD 420 plus CFR for shredded variety. – source: Steelguru


-          The London Metal Exchange's three-month steel billet contract remained at $350-360 per tonne – source: MB


-          The Iranian HRC shipments expected to arrive at Mumbai in early December will cost importers about Rs36,500-37,000 ($680-689) per tonne including taxes. Importers are currently selling HRC at Rs39,000-39,500 per tonne, inclusive of taxes – source: MB
