Scrap

-          US scrap import prices rise in Southeast Asia. HMS 1&2 80:20 scrap price to Southeast Asia at $425 per tonne CFR and shredded scrap at $430 per tonne CFR – source: SBB

Semis

-          Billet prices in northern China continued to drop. Tanshan ex-works prices for 150x150 mm Q235 billet from major local mills dipped by RMB 30 per tonne to RMB 3,180 per tonne, on a cash-payment basis with VAT – source: SBB

Bar

-          Korean spot prices for SD 400 grade 10 mm diameter rebar produced were offered at KRW 770,000-780,000 ($676-685) per tonne, while similar grade material imported from China at KRW 730,000 – 740,000 per tonne, down by KRW 5,000-10,000 ($4.4-8.8) from previous week – source: SBB

-          North China’s rebar price steady. Beijing’s spot market offer for 18-25mm diameter HRB 400 rebar at RMB 3,590-3,600 ($564-566) per tonne with 17% VAT – source: SBB

-          Export prices of southern European rebar up $6-12 per tonne to Euro 510-515 per tonne ($629-636) per tonne FOB – source: MB

-          China Steel Corp cut bar prices by NTD 1,000-1,500 per tonne for October and November – source: Yieh

-          China’s 20mm rebar keeps rising, averaging RMB 3,686 per tonne, up RMB 7 per tonne from a day ago – source: Steelhome

 

HRC

-          Korean spot prices of SS400 grade 3mm thick HRC by local mills such as Posco and Hyundai Steel at KRW 820,000 – 840,000 ($722-739) per tonne, down some KRW 10,000 – 20,000 ($8.8-17.6) per tonne – source: SBB

-          European domestic HRC prices stable at Euro 505-530 ($623-654) per tonne – source: MB
