Tenaris's mill in Indonesia receives OHSAS 18001 certification

Tenaris's mill in Indonesia has implemented internal routines to uphold the best HSE practices.

Tenaris's mill in Indonesia, SPIJ (PT. Seamless Pipe Indonesia Jaya) has received OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems certification.


OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognized assessment specification for occupational health and safety management systems. OHSAS promotes a safe and healthy working environment by providing a framework that allows organizations to reduce the potential for accidents and improve overall performance.


SPIJ received assessments on hazard identification, risks and controls starting in early April and obtained the OHSAS 18001: 2007 on August 9.

This certification proves our continuous efforts in improving the safety of our working environment,' stated Dedi Kuncoro, Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator Indonesia.
