China Environment Ministry May Require Reports from Listed Companies

China's Ministry of Environmental Protection released a draft of rules requiring listed companies to report environmental accidents within a day, according to a statement posted on the ministry's website yesterday.


The rules would require companies in 16 heavy polluting industries, including coal-fired power generation, steel, cement and electrolytic aluminium, to make annual environmental reports, the statement said.
